Learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael

Learning Torah is a great privilege and Learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael is the greatest of them all. Many Jewish youth from abroad decide to come and learn Torah in Israel after they finish high school mainly for a year or two. This experience has a great impact on them for the rest of their lives. Both boys and girls have many different programs to choose from and most of them are in cooperation with MASA Israel Journey. In total they currently offer 65 English language Jewish Programs in Israel. Of course, you can also find plenty of other Yeshivot and Seminars that cater to English speakers. Except Gap year programs you can also find English speaking kollelim across the country for married men.

The deeper connection when learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael

When you watched the video clip Experience the Torah you got a deeper understanding of why it is important to experience. Something that is just possible in Israel. All overseas programs have plenty of trips as a part of their program. Some of them to have fun, but most of them to explore the Land of Israel with Tanach in your hand. This creates the Living Torah. You can read about Hevron or Jerusalem and at the same time visit the places. Can you find any deeper connection to the Torah and Judaism then that?

Living and Learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael

The greatest privilege is without any doubt is the joy to both be living and also learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael. First of all, you are fulfilling the positive commandment of Living in Israel and also learning the Torah of Israel. As we say, No Torah like the Torah of Eretz Yisrael. And the Torah of the Holy Land will not be forgotten, as is the sad truth outside Israel. By living and learning Torah here you are strengthening the Jewish Nation and bringing pure love to God.

Moving to Eretz Yisrael

Many people who have had the privilege of Learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael do make Aliya later on in life. The deep connection to the Land of Israel and the Living Torah will stay with them even when going back abroad. The feeling of living here in Israel can´t be compared to anything else. With all the memories from their programs in Israel. To have the Tanach in your hand and travel around the country and experience the Torah in the only true way. Thank God today that we have organizations such as Nefesh B´Nefesh that help Jews from many Anglo countries to prepare and make Aliya.
